Neighborhood Wildlife

The neighborhood rabbits are sure interested in the chickens’ space. Whenever I go outside I startle a bunny - it races through the fence into the neighbor’s yard and I find rabbit droppings all over the coop and in the yard.

Rabbits have obviously found a way into the pen.

I imagine that means bunnies will pay more attention to my yard in the spring and summer too. Dang it.

I’ve always had trouble with bunnies eating my flowers. I hope instead they’ll eat what’s left over in the chicken coop and leave my plants alone.

Backyard birds have also had a heydey with the leftover seed from the chickens. There’s usually a small flock of birds cleaning up after the hens.
